Bio
Zamir Amiri is the IT Infrastructure Manager at Moore Afghanistan, with more than five years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, and IT operations. He leads the technology backbone of Moore Afghanistan and its group companies, including a leading fintech platform, where security, availability, and compliance are essential.
Zamir oversees infrastructure across three data centers in Afghanistan and the United States. He designed and built a private cloud platform hosting more than 150 virtual servers, supported by high-performance storage of nearly 80 TB that also serves application data at scale. He established a disaster recovery site in the USA, deployed dedicated backup systems with 80 TB of capacity, and led the migration of critical systems from public cloud and legacy platforms to in-house infrastructure, giving the organization greater control, resilience, and cost efficiency.
Earlier, as a system engineer, he designed the group’s data center architecture, deployed high-availability storage clusters, and built secure encrypted connectivity with more than 20 external partners, which he continues to lead today.
A specialist in security and compliance, Zamir led the organization’s PCI-DSS compliance program. He introduced centralized security monitoring and audit logging, regular vulnerability assessments, endpoint protection, and web application firewall defenses. He manages identity, email, and collaboration platforms across the group’s offices and leads the IT team behind daily operations. Earlier in his career, he delivered IT infrastructure for 33 branch offices and a 100-seat call center.
Zamir holds a Bachelor of Vocation in Software Development from the University of Delhi (First Division) and is a Linux Foundation Certified IT Associate (LFCA) and Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator (LFCS). He speaks Pashto, Dari, English, and Urdu. He believes that well-built, secure infrastructure is what lets people and businesses trust technology.
