Bio

Shafiqullah Amirzay is the Editor-in-Chief of Moore Afghanistan, where he leads both content development and editorial strategy for the magazine.

He holds a master’s degree in Linguistics and Literature from Kabul University and has built a distinguished career spanning in national, regional, and international media. Over the years, he has worked in senior positions, gaining extensive experience in writing, journalism, translation, reporting, research, proposal writing, and analytical work.

Amirzay has also taught creative, research-based, and critical writing for many years at both public and private universities in Afghanistan. Through his teaching, he has introduced young people to new technologies, modern academic approaches, innovative research methods, and critical writing practices.

In addition to his academic and editorial work, he has served as Editor-in-Chief of leading Afghan newspapers and as editor of respected research journals. He has also translated acclaimed international works into Pashto, adding to the body of world literature available in the language.

Today, Shafiqullah Amirzay continues to contribute to international platforms as a writer in the fields of creative and critical writing. He is fluent in Pashto, Dari, and English.
