Bio

Rahmatullah Abdulrahimzai is a seasoned audit professional with more than Eight years of experience providing assurance and advisory services to international NGOs, government entities, private companies, and donor-funded projects. As a Senior Audit Supervisor at Moore Afghanistan, he plays a key role in managing and supporting audit engagements, conducting financial and project audits, evaluating internal control systems, and ensuring compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and local regulatory requirements.

Before his current role, he served as a Financial Monitoring Officer at BDO UK LLP, where he monitored World Bank–funded projects and assisted in audit-related activities. Where he gained experience in testing internal controls, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and preparing and analyzing financial data.

Throughout his career, Rahmat has been actively engaged in diverse assignments for leading organizations, including UNDP, UNFPA, UN Women, UNOPS, UNHCR, GIZ, the Colombo Plan, and Union Aid, among others. He has a proven track record of supporting transparency, accountability, and efficiency in financial reporting and organizational governance.

Rahmat holds a Higher Diploma in Accountancy (HDA) from the British Institute of Management Science (BIMS) and is currently pursuing the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), UK qualification. He is proficient in English, Dari, Pashto, and Urdu, and has strong technical expertise in audit methodologies, IFRSs, ISAs, risk assessment, financial analysis, and internal control evaluation, supported by practical knowledge of Intuit QuickBooks and MS Office applications.
