Bio
Mr. Mohammad Mirwais Ahmadzai is the Chief Operations Officer of the Moore Group, overseeing the operations of Moore Stephens Ltd, HesabPay, and its affiliated entities in Afghanistan. With more than 15 years of experience in operations management, business development, and auditing, he ensures strategic alignment, operational excellence, and client service delivery across the group.
Since joining Moore in 2015 as a Senior Audit Officer, Mr. Ahmadzai has advanced through key leadership roles. At Moore Afghanistan, he led UNDP-supported payroll audits for the Afghan National Police and prisons, strengthening transparency and compliance across multiple provinces. At HesabPay, the group’s digital payments subsidiary, he held senior positions including Business Development Manager, Provincial Treasury Manager, and Zone Responsible, where he directed large-scale humanitarian cash transfer programs, managed liquidity for 34 provincial branches, and built strong partnerships with international organizations, government agencies, and the private sector.
Appointed COO in 2025, he now leads HesabPay and group-wide operations, strategic initiatives, and organizational growth, representing Moore in high-level engagements with donors, regulators, and business partners.
Mr. Ahmadzai holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Sayed Jamaluddin Afghan Institute of Higher Education and has completed professional training in Cyber Awareness. He is fluent in Pashto (native), Dari (bilingual), and English (excellent).
