Bio

Farid Ahmad Noori is a highly experienced audit and assurance professional with over 15 years of expertise across Afghanistan and the wider region. He specializes in assurance, advisory, and forensic audit services for international organizations, government institutions, private companies, and NGOs.

As a Senior Audit Manager at Moore Afghanistan, Farid leads complex audit engagements, designs and executes annual audit plans, and ensures compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA), donor requirements, and local regulations. His role includes supervising audit teams, conducting risk assessments, enhancing internal control systems, and providing clear, actionable recommendations that strengthen accountability and operational efficiency.

Farid began his professional career with Ernst & Young in Kabul, where he gained extensive experience in financial audits, donor-funded projects, and advisory services. He also worked with Da Afghanistan Bank (Central Bank) as an accountant before joining Ernst & Young in 2010.

He holds professional certifications including Certified Financial Consultant (CFC – Canada), Certified Anti-Money Laundering Professional (CAMP), and membership with the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). He has also earned the Foundation in Accountancy (FIA) and Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) qualifications offered by ACCA, and is currently progressing through the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA, UK) program.

Farid is fluent in Pashto, Dari, English, and Urdu, and combines his technical expertise in financial analysis, internal control evaluation, and fraud investigation with strong client engagement and leadership skills. Over the years, he has successfully delivered audits for a wide range of clients, including UN agencies, international donors, and leading Afghan organizations, consistently ensuring high-quality results that foster transparency, compliance, and organizational integrity.
